We used to go here years ago, but for some reason we stopped and I don't know why. I'm kicking myself for what I have been missing! I didn't take pictures because everything looked so good that we just dug in! I had chicken tenders (it came with three and they were big and juicy and tender and delicious) served with two sides (coleslaw and the creamiest, most delicious grits ever). That giant plate of food was only $10 and I had enough for lunch the next day! My husband had the fish basket ($12) that came with two huge pieces of perfectly cooked fish, hush puppies, and two sides (he chose greens and okra). He cleaned his plate! I feel like nothing has changed, especially the prices, since we last visited. We were surprised by how inexpensive our delicious lunch was. The service is the same, friendly and smiling employees all around. The inside is the same, though brighter and very clean-looking. I wish we had room for dessert, the pies and cakes looked delicious. We can't wait to go back!

We had a few different pies. Blueberry for Mr Gary was out of this world. The Apple pie for Miss Judy was to die for. Dianna had the peanut butter chocolate pie and it melted in her mouth. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for deserts. We will be back soon!!

Such a charming family-run restaurant. Please understand that scratch cooking takes time. Don't be surprised if you have to wait a bit for a table, and then wait a bit for your meal, especially if you order the fried chicken. We both ordered fried half chickens. The coating was really crispy and delicious but not greasy. The meat was tender and juicy. The fried okra was a tad on the soft side. I would have preferred it to be crispy like the chicken. We ordered pie to go. Lemon merengue mini pie and a slice of chocolate peanut butter. The lemon merengue had a nice, flakey homemade crust. Delish! All the wait staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming.

Oh My The Pie!! We ordered one slice of pie to go and while waiting on the check decided to have "just one bite" before leaving which lead to ordering another slice with vanilla and before it got there we'd finished the first piece and were clamoring for dibs and it was gone too! Super service and friendly atmosphere. We were tourist but the place was well attended by locals that made you feel welcome and that your in the right place for a "home cooked southern meal" and that's just what we got. Grilled shrimp skewers and grilled Red Snapper were on point. Family owned 3 generations give em a try! You want be disappointed.

We visited Dunnellon to go to Rainbow Springs. The Front Porch was an added delight to our vacation. The food was spectacular. The pie was yummmmmmmmm. The service was the way it should be every where. Thank you for feeding us and making us feel at home. It was so good we went 2 of our 3 days there. We had the fried chicken, field peas, and mashed potatoes and gravy. Excellent. Had the corndog, yes corndog! And fried okra. So good! Had cheeseburgers and fries. Burger was juicy and fries were hot and crispy. Very good. Had the chocolate meringue and coconut meringue and they were divine. Comfort food at its finest.
